Sunday Youth River Surf and Bodyboard Competition
This is for kids under 18 who want to participate in a fun-filled and interactive river surfing competition. Bring your surfboards, bodyboards, and high stoke levels. You will need them.
Registered contestants will meet at the Staircase Wave at 1 pm for warmups. The competition will begin at 1:30 p.m. We will have open heats of 5 surfers at a time. Each surfer enters the wave and surfs for up to 45 seconds at a time. Once you blow off the wave (or your 45 seconds is up), the next ready rider enters.
Following the surfing comp, Paddle Fest will host the first-ever bodyboard competition to finish the day. These events are for those experienced in class 2 and 3 whitewater.

Meet Time/Location: Staircase Wave @ 1 pm warm-ups,1:30p Surf Comp, 2:30 Bodyboard Comp.

After the surf comp, we will host a bodyboarding comp for those who prefer to ride waves flat instead of being vertically.
Participants must have previous river surfing experience, wear a PFD, and use only releasable leashes.
